Hr Policy

Postby nancypeterson » 26 Jul 2007, 13:53

Recently I have found an Hr policy on Birthday is it true?

An employee will receive their birthday off with pay. If an employee works on their birthday, they will get an additional pay for the one day at the regular rate excluding overtime.

Birthday holiday

Postby Ian Congreave » 27 Jul 2007, 05:22

I had never heard of this but it is certainly provided to state employees in Arkansas, where it is treated as a legal holiday - http://www.arkansas.gov/dfa/personnel_m ... n_100.html
and Stanford University staff have had the benefit for a number of years - http://news-service.stanford.edu/news/2 ... cy-66.html

In the UK, the recruiting company Connections provides a birthday holiday for its recruiting consultants - http://www.connectionsrecruit.co.uk/Con ... uItemId=87
