Counting down the daysWednesday, December 9th, 2015
A third date for your diary – Wednesday 16 December 2015
It is on this day that the Scottish Government will announce what their plans are in respect of using their powers under the Scotland Act 2012 to very tax rates for Scottish taxpayers.
Should they use their powers, they could impact employers from as early as April 2016.
HMRC have already been contacting those who they think are Scottish taxpayers to identify them as such. Employers should, if they have not already done so:
- Ensure they have correct addresses for employees, and
- Advise employees that they should advise HMRC if they have recently moved
From our part, we will be keeping you up to date with the announcements as they are made – watch this space!
