Tax Information Exchange Agreement – United Kingdom and Aruba

HMRC advise that a Tax Information Exchange Agreement between the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in respect of Aruba, came into force on 01 January 2012.  This was made on 12 October 2011, signed on 05 November 2011 and provides for the exchange of information between the relevant tax authorities of the two countries.

It is effective as follows:

• For criminal tax matters from the date of entry into force
• For all other requests, from the taxable period beginning on, or after, the date of entry into force
