Autumn Statement Review, Advisory Fuel Rates Auto-Enrolment Delay and CMEC and HMRCMonday, December 5th, 2011
How quickly one week passes. After the excitement (!) of the Autumn Statement last week, we present the information again this week in the normal Newsletter, just in case you missed our ‘special’ last Wednesday. As we mentioned after the Statement, there really wasn’t anything too concerning for payroll departments, however, there is still plenty that we should be aware of, therefore, we have made some comments, where relevant. In fact, the Statement dominates the Newsletter and has been split into three parts:
- Payroll, pensions and tax
- Employment Law Review
- Independent Review of Sickness
Also, we have replicated the piece about the revised Advisory Fuel Rates, which were effective 01 December 2011.
The next date for our diary is 06 December, dubbed ‘L-Day’ (L for legislation). This is the day on which the Government will release the draft clauses that will form part of Finance Bill 2012.
