Statutory Payments 2012/13

HMRC have announced the statutory payment amounts that will apply for 2012/13.  As we have already advised, the LEL for next tax year is £107.00 per week:

Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)

The weekly rate of SSP has increased by 5.2% to £85.85 from 06 April 2012.  This equates to an increase that is equivalent to the CPI inflation as at September 2011. The daily rates are shown in the following table:

Statutory Maternity / Ordinary and Additional Paternity / Adoption Pay (SMP / OSPP / ASPP and SAP)

The weekly rates, percentages and thresholds for SMP, SPP and SAP for 2012/13 are shown in the following table.  Note that these are effective for complete pay weeks commencing on or after 01 April 2012:

Note that women who do not meet the average earnings requirement for SMP will be entitled to Maternity Allowance at the above standard rate if they meet the lower average earnings condition.
