Update to 17th Annual Payroll & HR Conference

More new speakers have been confirmed by The Learn Centre for the Annual Payroll and HR Conference being held in Stratford-on-Avon on March 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

There are two excellent speakers from HMRC who will be presenting a Tax and National Insurance update: Phil Nilson, who is recognised widely in the payroll profession as one of HMRC’s most knowledgeable speakers with the ability to inject humour into what can be a very dry subject!  Joining him will be Peter Hopkins, Director of B&C Policy, Strategy & Assurance, who will talk about Real Time Information, which will oblige employers to provide payroll information to HMRC at time of payment from 2012 onwards.

Sue Dosell from Hymans Robertson will provide an update on the auto-enrolment rules, while Adrian Sims from The NEST Corporation will discuss the role NEST will be playing in the auto enrolment process. Auto Enrolment and NEST underpin the new Pensions Legislation which will start to be staged-in during 2012.

Finally Jon Heuvel from Pennington Solicitors will take a look at up and coming employment law changes and  focussing on the Bribery Act which comes into force in April 2011, placing an obligation on employers to ensure they have procedures in place to prevent bribery from taking place.
