Guernsey – Tax and social insurance rates for 2011

The Treasury and Resources Department has published its 2011 Budget Report and it is proposed that personal income tax allowances will remain at their current level. No increase is proposed to the standard rate of income tax. The States will consider the proposals on 8 December.
There are no changes to social insurance contributions rates for 2011 but new upper and lower limits have been announced, as follows:
- the upper earnings/income limits
- for employees will be £1,767 per week, £7,657 per month, £91,884 per annum
- for employers will be £2,325 per week, £10,075 per month, £120,900 per annum
- the lower earnings/income limits for both employees and employers will be £117 per week and £507 per month.
