CD-ROM users must install a further update
Friday, November 12th, 2010HMRC’s annual Employer CD-ROM is to be replaced from 2011 with set of Basic PAYE Tools that will have to be downloaded from HMRC’s website. Employers who use the P11 Calculator and the database facilities provided on the CD-ROM must ensure that their installation is updated ready for the new 2011/12 facilities. HMRC released an update in September that it described as being “vitally important” if continuity is be maintained.
A further update has just been released which must also be installed, even if the September update has already been installed. It provides changes for employers who use the P11 Calculator and have received a P6 from HMRC showing previous pay and tax details or have employees with National insurance Category letter X who are at, or reach, pension age during 2010/11.

Why do HMRC employ so many people who say ” I don’t know”?
Who do HMRC employ so many people who say ” you have to call another number”?
Why does the HMRC take so long to answer the phone, if at all, after getting a message to say you are all so busy (telling people you don’t know), we have to call back?
