Two more court decisions feature in this week’s newsletter.  One is a Court of Appeal decision on the subject of “legal professional privilege” and who can use that defence in the face of an HMRC notice to disclose documents.  The other is the more down-to-earth situation of SSP entitlement when an employee is regularly injuring himself playing football.

The extent of the changes to maternity leave and pay that the European Parliament’s recent vote could make in the future is also covered this week and we have made amends for missing out an item that should have appeared last week on the changes planned for completing form P46.
