Guernsey – Written particulars of terms of employment

The Conditions of Employment (Guernsey) Law, 1985 requires employees to be issued with a written statement setting out the contractual terms within four weeks of starting in new employment.

An Amendment Ordinance that is effective from 1 October 2010 changes the application of this requirement from employees who work 15 hours per week or more to all employees irrespective of their hours of work.
