Immigration Application Fees – Mid-year increasesThursday, September 16th, 2010
The UK Border Agency has announced proposals to increase immigration and nationality application fees for all those applying to visit, study, work or stay in the UK from October 2010 and, in some cases, from November 2010.
Most of the changes relate to visas and nationality applications. The only increase that directly affects employers is the charge levied in relation to sponsorship licences, where a sponsor is given a B rating for failing to comply with sponsorship duties. The charge for creating a sponsorship action plan in order to achieve an A rating will increase from £600 to £1000 from 1 October 2010.
