Isle of Man: State Pension Age – Increases for women from 2010 in line with the UK

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

The Department of Health and Social Security has confirmed that, between 2010 and 2020, the state pension age will increase for women from the current 60 years to 65 years, matching the process that will occur in the UK. The same stepped increases will apply, namely an increase of one month in the state pension age during each two months of the ten-year transition period.

The further increases for both men and women, using the same procedure, will occur in three instalments, to age 66 starting in 2024, to age 67 starting in 2034, and to age 68 starting in 2044.
